An ultimate focuser for Newtonian telescopes with higher load capacity and accuracy than any conventional Crayford focuser we know of. We recommend the focuser primarily to astronomers who use their Newtonian telescope for observation and astrophotography and value maximum rigidity and precision.

The advantages of the TS-Optics 2" low profile rack and pinion focuser:

♦ Maximum rigidity: the extension tube is held in place by 8 ball bearings and the extension tube is adjusted via a pinion.

♦ the extension supports up to 8 kg while maintaining maximum rigidity

♦ 2" careful clamping via brass clamping ring

♦ 1.25" precise clamping based on the collet principle

♦ Built-in coarse adjustment with 42mm extension length – ideal for visual observation when the focus position is optimized for photography. You don't need an extension sleeve.

♦ Rack and pinion adjustment with additional 11:1 reduction - adjustment range approx 23mm

♦ Short Design – From the wall of the Newton to the 2" socket, it is only 50mm high with 8" tubes and 55mm with 10" tubes.

♦ Easy fixing to existing pipes thanks to a flexible base (included)

♦ No tilt when clamping, because the clamping screw locks the adjustment axis and does not press on the extension tube
