Optolong LRGB + HA/SII/OIII 6.5nm 2" Filter Set

This complete set of CCD filters contains L-RGB, H-alpha (7nm), O-III (6.5nm) and S-II (6.5nm), it is suitable for tri-color recording of planets and sky objects deep.

♦ Set of filters for RGB

♦ L filter for focus and luminance registration, UV/IR blocking

♦ three narrow band line filters (<=7nm) for lines of important nebulae

♦ preferred for CDD cameras with full frame transfer technology

♦ All 2mm thick and therefore homofocal

♦ Interference filter

♦ Filter support for 2"

♦ optically polished

♦ Multi-layer hard coating - non-reflective and largely scratch resistant

Description

The complete set of filters for three color images.

This filter set contains the full set of LRGB and line filters for SII 6.5nm, OIII 6.5nm and Ha 7nm. It is suitable for planetary photography as well as capturing deep sky objects.

LRGB filter set

These filters split light into red, green, and blue components, plus a luminance signal across all color ranges. However, UV and IR rays are blocked.

The OIII emission is passed through the blue and green filters with maximum transmittance, allowing highly efficient photography with natural color reproduction. The space between the green and red filters blocks the annoying sodium line of light pollution at 589nm and improves color balance and color separation.

Main use and properties

♦ Good for recordings with cameras without Bayer mask (monochrome)

♦ Suitable for both deep sky and planetary imaging

♦ RGB recording allows equal weighting of each channel, very important for automated image acquisition.

♦ The ideal raw material for image processing in the sRGB color space is available by combining LRGB filters with a black and white CCD camera.

line filters

The filters in this set allow only gas light from emission nebulae to pass through, significantly reducing stray light from surrounding cities.

Main use and properties

♦ Suitable for photographing weak emission nebulae in moonlight or when there is a lot of light pollution

♦ By combining H-alpha, OIII-CCD and SII-CCD, narrowband recordings can be made in the so-called "Hubble palette", such as the famous "Pillars of Creation" (M16, Eagle Nebula).

♦ With the ability to shoot in moonlight and light pollution with line filters, your team won't sit idle for weeks out of the month.

♦ The OIII CCD filter is also suitable for visual observation of most diffuse nebulae, planetary nebulae, and some supernova remnants.
