TS CF-APO 102/714mm FPL55 Triplet Apo

The colorless 102mm Apo is equally well suited for visual observation and astrophotography. Thanks to the FPL55 APO element, the image is first class and, in practice, can no longer be distinguished from the world famous Russian LZOS lenses.

The apo is easy to transport and works well with EQ5 or Losmandy GM-8 class mounts.

The 102mm Apos lens:

The triple lens with an aperture of 102mm and a focal length of 714mm meets the criteria of a full apos. Even when enlarged by a factor of 300, the image is free from annoying color errors. Even bright stars show up in astrophotos without disturbing blue fringes.

The APO element consists of FPL55, which is comparable to the known FPL53. Another special glass supports color correction. The air-gapped triple lens is fully adjustable. Each glass-air optical surface is multi-coated. The lens has an adjustable mount with temperature compensation.

The 3.7" rack and pinion photographic focuser:

The large drawer is optimized for photography and can support a load of up to 8 kg. The extension tube adjusts via a rack and pinion. We also offer motorized focus for extension. Various internal threads are available for bolt-on adaptations. The extract also offers a 360° rotation to choose the correct image section.

Astrophotography with the apo

A corrector is required to achieve an optimal image in the field. The corrector is screwed directly into the M92 thread of the apos. We recommend two correctors, both of which are suitable for cameras up to full frame.

♦ TSCFRED102 - Corrector 0.8x

The corrector is calculated extra for this apo. It reduces the focal length to 571mm and improves the aperture ratio to f/5.6.

♦ TSFLAT3 - Checker 1.0x

The concealer provides maximum illumination. Does not change the focal length and aperture ratio. The working distance from the M48 thread is 59 mm.

To connect cameras with a 55mm backfocus (distance from the connection thread to the sensor), you need 2x M54Abstimm1 (between M48 adapter and corrector) and 2x M48AbstimmA1 (between camera adapter and M48 thread)
