TS tangential head for precise parallel mounting

This pan head accommodates finder scopes and guide scopes as well as camera lenses up to 7.5kg and allows for stable and secure attachment parallel to the telescope. The instrument is held securely by stable ball bearings and strong clamps, it does not move even with long exposure.

Possible uses of the tangential head TS S8177:

♦ Fixation and adjustment of guide telescopes for astrophotography

♦ Fixation and adjustment of cameras parallel to the main telescope

♦ Fixation of finder scopes and large field compact refractors parallel to the telescope

♦ Attachment of spotting scopes and small telescopes to tripods with precise adjustment for reproducible photographs

Geared Head Adjustment:

Two adjustment screws and one set screw are available for horizontal and vertical adjustment. The operation is easy.

♦ Slightly loosen the two fixing screws.

♦ Adjust the tilt head with the adjusting screws.

♦ When you have reached the desired position, simply retighten the fixing screws.

Connection options for the gear head:

The TS S8177 offers a variety of connection options for maximum flexibility.

Base connection options:

♦ Vixen/EQ5 style dovetail bar for quick connect coupling and clamps

♦ 1/4" female tripod thread allows mounting on photo tripods

♦ You can also mount an existing dovetail clamp to the rail to connect the tangential head directly to Vixen/EQ5 style dovetail bars. Alternatively, you can also purchase a second dovetail clamp.

Connection options at the top:

♦ Vixen/EQ5 style dovetail clamp with flat clamp for corresponding dovetail bars

♦ The clamp can be removed and attached directly to telescopes or cameras using a 1/4" photo screw (included).
