The EQ-320 telescope tracking motor
As soon as it has found an object in the field of view of the optics, it will run away again. So rely on a motorized drive for your telescope and save yourself constant manual tracking. A good accessory for beginners who want to find their way around the sky faster or who want to take their first steps in astrophotography.
The advantages at a glance:
Tracking motor for automatic RA axis tracking compensates for the rotational movement of the earth: objects always remain in your field of view
Manual controller with four selectable star speeds: 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x
Suitable for visual observations and astrophotography
12V DC motor runs on battery pack or optional power supply
Comfortable observation with automatic tracking
Once you have aligned your telescope with the first reference point, always keep the target stars and planets in view, exactly in the center of the field of view. Without manual tracking, you can fully concentrate on watching and take time for every detail, and also show them to friends and family.
The motor will now move the telescope at the appropriate sidereal speed. You can choose between 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x speeds, so you can also make coarse and fine corrections to the positioning with the hand controller afterwards.
For every place on earth
It doesn't matter where: observe with your telescope from anywhere you want. This even works in the southern hemisphere. With the N/S switch you can easily adjust the automatic rotation direction of your telescope.
The first steps towards your own astrophoto
Of course, this EQ-320 accessory adds to the comfort of your viewing experience, but auto tracking is also essential if you want to do astrophotography. It is what makes possible long exposure times of an object without it looking blurry. The moon, individual lunar craters and planets can be beautifully captured with it.
