TS-Optics adapter with M48 and T2 thread to the giant off-axis guider

The adapter allows the TS Gigant Off-Axis Guider to be screwed directly to offsets and reducers with M48 or T2 threaded connection.

The adapter is screwed directly onto the M48 thread of the corrector. The TS giant eccentric guide is screwed directly to the adapter using three countersunk screws. This ensures optimum rigidity, even the heaviest cameras are held without tilting. The effective length of the adapter is only 4.5 millimeters.

Adaptation to correctors with T2 thread connection:

To attach the adapter also to offsets with T2 threaded connection, you need the intermediate adapter TST2-M48s. Since the adapter completely disappears into the M48 thread, it does not build up.

Effective height of the adapter with the guider off axis:

Almost all correctors have an ideal working distance of 55mm from the start of the T2 or M48 connection thread. The exceptions are the 2" ASA correctors. We will be happy to advise you of the required working distance of your corrector.

The adapter accumulates 4.5 mm, the TS off-axis guide accumulates 10 mm. Therefore, the entire fitting only uses 14.5mm of optical path, leaving you 40.5mm of space for your filters and your camera if you use a corrector with a 55mm working distance.
