The flat-field apochromat gives you a colorless, well-corrected image on axis and in the field. Thanks to the 2-element corrector in the tube, you have a well-corrected image circle with a diameter of 45 mm. So you can also use cameras with full frame sensors. You'll have a perfect star image in the field right out of the box, without the tedious search for correctors and the right distance.

Adaptation of cameras to the apo:

The generous working distance between 65mm and 155mm from the M68 thread and the wide adjustment range of 90mm via the extension allow all common cameras to be attached. In addition to the 2" and 1.25" receptacle, an M68x1 internal thread is available for screw adaptations.

♦ To connect a DSLR or astro camera via the M48 thread, you need the adapter M68A-M48A-30 (see recommended accessories). So you have a working distance of 35mm to 125mm from the M48 thread, depending on the position of the draw tube.

♦ Cameras with T2 connection (M42x0.75) still need the TSM48i-T2a reduction. The adapter is only 6mm, so it has enough room for a single lens reflex camera with a T2 adapter or an astro camera.

A first-class portable apochromat for astrophotography:

Our goal was to achieve unmatched image quality on the Y-axis in the field without additional flatteners or correctors. The corrector must be installed permanently and, of course, at the optimal distance from the lens. This is only achieved with difficulty and many adapters with an optional flattener. In addition, the apochromat must be mechanically sound and easily adjustable. This was achieved with Flatfield Apo.

The focuser is stable and designed primarily for heavy cameras. Rack and pinion adjustment means heavy attachments can also be used. The fastening is done securely by locking the fit. Micro reduction enables exact focus, so you can make optimal use of the good image.
