TS 152mm f/5 widefield refractor and comet finder
This 2-element ED is a truly extreme telescope for the ultimate wide-field observation. The stars are as thin as a needle, as only a well-corrected refractor can produce. The refractor remains easy to transport with a transport length of around 70 cm and 11 kg. A stable azimuth mount or a good equatorial mount such as the AVX or H-EQ5 is recommended as a base. The 2-element ED lens from Japan offers an image up to about 100x without disturbing color errors thanks to very good color correction. Sharpness is preserved up to about 250x, but after that we recommend a filter to reduce chromatic aberration.

The optics and frame are made in Japan. Image quality is high, and contrast remains strong even at the maximum magnification range. Chromatic aberration is reduced with HOYA's FCD1 ED element.
Astrophotography with the TS 152mm f/5 ED refractor:
Although the telescope is optimized for wide-field viewing, it will also be able to photograph nebulae and galaxies. The fast f/5 aperture ratio allows for short exposure times. However, an image field corrector is absolutely necessary to get sharp stars all the way to the edge. We recommend the TSFLAT25DEL 1.0x corrector, which screws directly into the internal M63x1 thread of the focuser. The working distance is 55 mm from the M48 thread.
