Omegon Clear Sky Filter – removes air glare and stray light for small telescopes
The night is never completely dark. It is illuminated by artificial lighting and the so-called air glow. This is a glow in the upper atmosphere caused by UV rays and X-rays from the sun. This brightness is irritating when viewed through a telescope. Omegon's Clear Sky filter blocks relevant wavelengths, thus increasing contrast during observation. The filter also blocks most artificial lighting and stray light that unnecessarily interferes with your observation.
The Clear Sky filter is ideal for small and medium telescopes up to 150mm aperture. Its use is very simple: simply screw it into the 1.25" filter thread of your 1.25" eyepiece. Soon, the sky darkens and astronomical objects become lighter.
The advantages in a nutshell:
Clear Sky filter stops air glare and stray light
suitable for small and medium telescopes
a true interference filter: only important wavelengths pass through the eyepiece
1.25" thread - suitable for all 1.25" eyepieces
