The MiniTrack LX3 Essentials consists of:
- LX3 astronomical tracker
- pole finder tube
With the MiniTrack LX3 to the most beautiful images of the Milky Way
The Omegon MiniTrack LX3 is a mini mount for guaranteed successful astrophotography, with wide-angle and lightweight telephoto lenses. Beautiful views of the starry sky are surprisingly easy to achieve, even if you think you're not a talented astrophotographer. And the MiniTrack does this without electricity, purely mechanically. The predecessor did a great job, but the MiniTrack LX3 has been improved again in some areas, and now works with 60% more accuracy. Expect beautiful shots that inspire everyone. Convince yourself and get attractive prints in no time.
The advantages at a glance:
Photograph the starry sky anywhere in the northern hemisphere successfully and effortlessly
Never charge: it works independently of the battery and the plug through a mechanism
Put on your frame and get started right away
Ideal for general shots of the starry sky and for telephoto lenses
The special advantages of the MiniTrack LX3:
More load capacity: the MiniTrack LX3 now carries even more: cameras and equipment up to 3 kg
A large Teflon bushing provides a smoother, more fluid motion.
More individual: the stronger spring system slows down or speeds up the movement
CNC body: the case is now even better, more beautiful and above all more stable
Plastic pole finder tube for alignment with the polar region
Better astro photos when you travel and at home
Take home not only photos from your vacation, but also stunning astrophotos from your trip. It is easier than you think. Everything you need: a tripod, the MiniTrack, a head and your camera. Stripped down to the bare essentials, it has one mission: good astrophotos that everyone can take. And this is how she does it...
60 minute mechanical tracking
The MiniTrack has a mechanical heart, electronics have no place here. An accurate clock tracks your camera with pinpoint accuracy. Wind up the MiniTrack like an analog watch and tracking is activated. This mount never gives up, even in sub-zero temperatures. Even with telephoto lenses, your new mount will keep a cool head. Not surprisingly, this expert in wide-field imaging has won the hearts of amateur astronomers.
Like a counterweight: more developed spring system
The MiniTrack LX3 does not have a counterweight, but rather a spring system that acts as such. This makes the MiniTrack extremely compact and suitable for travel. And now new: an improved spring system supports your camera with a one-sided load and speeds up or slows down tracking. This gives you even more flexibility and the tracking of the stars is more precise.
Tip: You can achieve an ideal tracking speed when the movement marks 130-135 times per minute. Depending on the weight of your camera, you need to tighten the spring to different degrees. We recommend that you determine the ticks per minute with a "TapTempo-App BPM" for smartphones. These apps actually come from music and are supposed to automatically measure the tempo of a piece of music. Take advantage of this application and measure the speed of the MiniTrack.
Large teflon bushing
The MiniTrack has been improved throughout its construction: the larger Teflon bushing offers a particularly smooth movement. Now your camera moves even more smoothly during tracking.
cnc casing
Visually more beautiful, but also more durable: this is the new housing of the MiniTrack LX3 mount. The milled aluminum of this mount is significantly stronger. Don't worry if your mount gets a lot of use. The quality is preserved even after years.
Greater load capacity, just as transportable
It can always be a little more: the MiniTrack now carries cameras up to 3kg. The stand is still as small, light and portable as it used to be. The difference: Now you can also use a camera with a larger or longer lens. We expect the usual high level of stability.
Fits on any photographic tripod.
The MiniTrack has two connections: for the tripod and for your camera or head. Attach the mount to your photo tripod as usual using a 1/4" screw and align the MiniTrack as desired. On the other side mount a ball head with a 3/8" thread.
Invented and developed by Cristian Fattinnanzi
The MiniTrack mount was developed by Christian Fattinnanzi from Italy. Omegon has taken over distribution, making it accessible to a larger group of photographers and nature lovers.
With this fully mechanical mini stand, you can take astronomical pictures in no time. Without eleectricity. No charge No batteries. Just take photos. Every time and everywhere.
