1.25" Optolong IF/IR/UV Cut Filter in KG3 Glass
The Optolong KG3 filter completely blocks IR radiation up to 5000nm! This provides the best possible protection from the sun's thermal radiation (unless you put the cover over the telescope). This filter also includes an ND3 neutral density filter, so it pairs well with a Herschel prism.
DANGER! This filter is only designed as a supplement to a Herschel prism or lens solar filter, it is NOT a replacement for a solar filter!
