TS Short Quick Coupling and T2 Rotation for T2 Thread

This adapter is a real problem solver for astrophotography, but also for observation. Due to its short design, the TST2Rot can be integrated into almost any adapter system. The main areas of application of the TST2Rot are:

360° rotation to adjust the camera's field of view:

With the adapter, you can rotate the recording camera as you like without losing sharpness (focus). This allows you to optimally position the nebula or galaxies even with a screwed camera connection. Or you can align your camera exactly to the coordinates, making it easy to focus and comparable shots of a detail in your sun or moon photography.

This feature is particularly useful for afocal eyepiece projection with Baader Hyperion Zoom, because changing the eyepiece focal length also rotates the camera. If the eyepiece is connected to the telescope via a socket, you can turn it on the focuser, but not with a screw connection. TST2Rot then brings back the desired orientation here.

Quick detachment of the telescope camera:

The quick release coupling allows the camera to be removed quickly without the hassle of unscrewing where cables can get tangled. For example, you can change the camera batteries in a very short time and get the focus position. All cables can remain connected to the camera.

Easier search for the guiding star in autoguiding:

Rotate the autoguider to more easily find a suitable guide star in the field.

Practical tips:

First of all, if you separate the camera and telescope, for example because you want to use a different camera or telescope, an opening is left open. To prevent the ingress of dust, you can simply provide the corresponding counterpart of a second TST2Rot with a suitable cover (linked in the accessory area) and use it as a cover for the opening.

Second: With some accessories it may happen that their contact surfaces do not quite reach the respective rotation adapter contact surfaces, so you get a longer stroke length than the specified 5.5mm. For applications where distance is critical, such as coma correctors, it is best to measure with a caliper.

An example: Adaptation of a coma corrector (55 mm working distance) with an M48 thread to a ZWO planetary camera (12.5 mm back focus) with a T2 thread. Therefore, a pitch length of 42.5 mm is required, which was achieved, according to the vernier caliper, with TSM48-T2L, TST2rot, T2Abstimmring03 and TST2V30, i.e. "officially" 41.8 mm.

Telescope side thread: T2 female thread M42x0.75
Camera-side thread: T2 external thread
Overall height: only 5.5 mm (without the T2 external thread)
Length of the two T2 threads: 4 mm each
Outer diameter: 67 mm

What´s included in the bos:

♦ Helical Focuser with 2 locking screws
