TS-Optics M68 adapter system - M48 connection adapter for focusers with internal thread M68x1
This adapter threads directly into the internal M68x1 thread on the focuser and offers an internal M48x0.75 thread on the camera side. You can use this internal thread to connect comma correctors with an attached M48 thread, for example, or build your own individual adaptation.
This adaptation is extremely short because the adapter almost completely disappears into the focuser's M68 connection thread.
The adapter fits the following focusers and adapters, among others:
♦ 2.5" Moonlite focuser with internal thread D=68 mm
♦ TS-Optics TSFOCR30 and TSFOCR30S and RPA25 focusers
♦ All adapters with female thread M68x1
The adapter is especially suitable for:
♦ Baader comma correctors with attached M48 thread (MPCC and RCC). You screw the corrector into the adapter with the M48 thread, and you can connect the camera with the T2 thread. So everything is totally screwed up.
♦ TSFLAT2 TS flattener for refractors.
♦ With the M48a-M48a adapter, you can convert the M48 internal thread to an external thread, either on one side or on both sides.
| Connection at telescope side: | M68x1 ZEISS style thread (male) |
| Connection at camera side: | M48x0.75 - 2" filter thread (female) - length 2.5 mm |
| Length of adapter: | 7 mm = length of the male thread. The optical path is much shorter. |
