The auto-Barlow accessory is a puck with a white screen on the front and a small built-in Barlow lens in the center of the puck. It then screws into the opening of the Howie Glatter Laser Collimator (sold separately) and provides a very compact method of Barlow collimation.
As with normal Barlowed laser collimation, the shadow is cast on the screen at the front of the puck at the focuser end, so adjusting the mirror at the rear of the viewfinder can be difficult in some cases, especially with reflectors that have a long focal length.
Our expert comment:
This is the new version ('NV') with a thicker thread. The disk fits all Howie Glatter/Starlight Instruments lasers, which also have a new thread ("NV" in the item number). If you have an older version of the laser (before 2020), please contact us before ordering.
