The 2“ Omegon star diagonal mirror is coated with a very thin layer of vacuum deposited aluminum to guarantee a maximum reflection of 99% with the highest contrast and optimum sharpness. Here the residual stress in the flat mirror that can occur with the dielectric vapor deposition process is ruled out.
