NEW: Now includes a high-quality lens solar filter for safe viewing of sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits. A high quality telescope for night and solar observation.
The telescope consists of a telescope lens (refractor) and an equatorial mount that includes a tripod. The lens has a clear 102mm aperture with a 600mm focal length and thus an aperture ratio of f/5.9. The refractor has many extras, such as tube rings with carrying handle and integrated camera mount, 31.7mm (1.25") star diagonal or 6x30 finderscope. With the EXOS-2 equatorial mount (also called parallax ), one axis is aligned with the pole star to track a celestial object, only a single axis needs to be moved, which makes tracking much easier compared to mounts that only have left/right and up/down axes (azimuth mount). Celestial objects can be viewed with the included easy to find 6x30 viewfinder. The viewfinder also has a crosshair for even more comfortable viewing in the dark. The mount also has an illuminated polar finder which makes it extremely easy facing north.Using two flexible shafts connected to the mechanical fine drive, objects can be precisely positioned in the eyepiece adjust and adjust. The height of the tripod can be adjusted steplessly, which guarantees za a comfortable viewing position.
Area of application: The BRESSER Messier AR-102S on EXOS-2 offers the ambitious amateur astronomer good optics with a very stable universal mount. The telescope's 102mm aperture is well suited for detailed observations of the moon and planets in our solar system. In addition, the telescope collects enough light to see more of the night sky. Star clusters or various nebulae can be seen in a dark sky. With a total weight of about 18 kilos, which is made up of the three parts (tube, counterweight mount, tripod), the telescope is still ideal for use outside of bright cities. Only then can the optics deliver their full performance.
Special features: Bresser EXOS-2 mount Equatorial (equatorial) mount with a load capacity of up to 13 kilograms (depending on the length of the telescope) and polar finder. Ball bearings on both axes ensure smooth and precise operation. An optional GoTo engine suite can be used to facilitate tracking and navigation while observing.
