Main benefits and uses
Suitable for unmodified color CCD and DSLR cameras
The UHC filter with a reduced width of the bandpass range, offers a higher contrast than the CLS and is therefore more suitable for the city environment, subject to higher atmospheric pollution.
The UHC filter has a remarkable red bandpass range and thus enables exceptional photographic recordings of objects such as the Orion Nebula (M42)
Light pollution filters do not increase the brightness of objects and cannot exclusively remove the effects of light pollution. In many cases, however, they increase the contrast between the nebula and the night sky.
German-made brand glass substrate, 1.0mm thick
Multi-layer anti-reflective treatment, deposited by electron beam evaporation and ion beam assisted deposition
Precision optically polished substrate to 1/4 lambda and <30 arc seconds of parallelism on both sides
60/40 polish quality per MIL-O-13830 specifications
Uniform and precise coating method that guarantees high pass band transmission and precise out-of-band blocking
Attention, this filter must never be used only to observe the Sun!
