TS PHOTOLINE 106 mm triplet apo for first-class astrophotography

The new Photoline apochromat with the premium pure color triple lens from Hoya (Japan) is the optimal solution for astrophotography. The Apo offers a clear image with sharp stars all the way to the edge. The apo also impresses with a strong contrast and high contrast image up to the highest magnification range during observation. The Apo was developed for astrophotographers who value an optically and technically mature solution. The image field corrector for full-frame cameras is already included in the scope of supply: a complete solution that also meets high demands.

The optics achieve an image at a high level

The apo shows you lunar craters or planets without color errors with a contrast that only a refractor can do. But even bright stars show up without disturbing color fringes. The reason is the high-quality triple lens with special FCD100 glass from Hoya in Japan. The correction of this lens corresponds to the well-known FPL53.

The air-gapped triple lens is mounted on a stable, temperature-compensated mount. The entire frame can be adjusted with tension and pressure screws. Collimation is not done by lateral pressure on the lenses and is therefore much more precise and better for the image.

The 3-element 0.75x field corrector for sharp stars all the way to the edge

The corrector is already included in the scope of supply. It is screwed to the focuser using the M63x1 thread. Teleskop-Service highly appreciated a very good solution, especially regarding the corrector.

3.5" hybrid focuser for maximum load

The focuser has a special bearing so you can also attach heavy accessories to the focuser. It's not just the ball bearings that press against the drawtube, which gives way under higher loads. A rail is attached to the draw tube, which is perfectly supported by adjustable ball bearings. Even with heavy accessories up to 10kg, tilt cannot be detected.

The adjustment itself is decoupled and is achieved via a worm gear. This ensures a fine and consistent fit even with heavy accessories. The 1:10 micro reduction allows for even more precise focus. The focus position is fixed by locking the thumbwheel. No screw presses on the extraction tube.

In addition to the 2" and 1.25" barrel for visual observation, the focuser also offers the M63x1 internal thread and the M78x1 internal thread for screw-in adaptations.

360° rotation for the correct camera position

The focuser itself is permanently attached to the tube. However, many astrophotographers prefer a 360° rotation of the camera to obtain the correct image section. We offer a solution. You need 2 items for this:

♦ TSROTM63 (360° rotation) and

♦ M68a-M63i (reduced from M68x1 to M63x1)

This results in precise 360° rotation with an overall length of just 21.9mm. The rotator is screwed between the focuser and the corrector. Of course you can focus without any problem.

More information on the Hoya FCD100 APO element:

FCD100 is an ultra-low dispersion optical glass almost equivalent to fluorite (CaF2). With this glass, in combination with high refractive index optical lenses, excellent correction of chromatic aberration (color errors) can be achieved. The difference in the dispersion performance of the FPL53, for example, is less relevant than the difference in the polish of the optics. FCD100 is Hoya's designation for this special lens, just as FPL53 is Ohara's proprietary name.
