The 94mm apo with the fast f/5.5 focal ratio is aimed at all amateur astronomers who are interested in a fast, pure color, compact apo. The triple lens design includes two special ED elements. This provides an image free of disturbing chromatic aberrations, even at higher magnifications. The optical performance of this newly developed lens corresponds to that of an FPL53 triplet. This lens is held in a CNC-milled mount that is, of course, adjustable.

The refractor also convinces with its solid mechanics. The telescope is supplied with a 3" dual speed rack and pinion focuser. The adjustment and bearing are separate from each other. This prevents the drawtube from tilting when clamping and allows precise adjustment even under heavy loads.

Attachment of the TS 94 mm apo to photographic mounts and tripods

The CNC tube ring has a GP and EQ5 style dovetail bar at the base. You can attach the telescope to the corresponding saddle plates of the mounts. We recommend an EQ5 class mount for the apo. Suitable dovetail clamps can be found in the accessories section. In addition, the dovetail also has a 1/4" photo thread.

The carrying handle is a truly multifunctional piece.

The handle not only facilitates mounting on a photographic tripod, but is also the base for future adaptations. The handle has a slotted hole and a 1/4" photo thread. You can attach a ball head to it and mount a second camera in parallel, for example. Next to the carrying handle is a finder shoe for finder scopes, mini telescopes, or finderscopes. Red dots.

Viewing through the TS 94mm f/5.5 apo

The pure color triplet lens naturally also provides an excellent base for observation. The high contrast image ensures a clear image even during the day, for example when watching birds. The 94mm aperture also shows the crater landscape on the moon at night or exciting details on the planets of the solar system. Many thousands of deep sky objects are also within range of the apo. You can use 1.25" and 2" accessories, such as 2" star diagonal mirrors.

Recommended correctors for astrophotography:

♦ TSRED25DEL - the reducer fits directly into the internal thread M74x1 of the focuser. Reduces the focal length to 414mm and improves the focal ratio to f/4.4. The working distance from the M48 thread is 55 mm.

♦ TSFLAT2: The corrector can be screwed on (we will be happy to advise) or it can be pushed in. The focal length does not change. The working distance from the M48 thread of the corrector is 118 mm. The corrector is ideal for astrophotographers who like to use long accessories and can't handle a distance of 55mm.

♦ WiflatM48 - Simply push the corrector into the 2" socket. Focal length does not change. Working distance from M48 thread is 55mm.
