Televue Powermate lenses extend the focal length of the telescope and offer unique image quality.
The Televue Powermate is a further development of the conventional Barlow lens. With four integrated lenses, the Powermate has an extraordinarily good image and offers excellent contrast. In each case a combination of two lenses of positive and negative action is used. Not only does this extend the focal length of the telescope, the Powermate also delivers sharp, well-corrected images. The lens can also be used in very fast telescopes. In long focal length eyepieces, the interpupillary distance does not increase any further, but remains constant. Therefore, the image is not vignetting and normal display behavior is preserved.
Unlike normal Barlow lenses, the Powermate does not produce divergent beam paths that can degrade the image. The light passes parallel to the eyepiece or camera. The Powermate is also suitable for photography and works here too with high quality and the best contrast.
The advantages at a glance:
Powermate with four lens combination
no vignetting when observing
very good illustration
Sharp edge in almost all optical systems
optimal in combination with H-alpha telescopes due to parallel beam path
Very stable casing with 2" mount and 1.25" reduction with snap ring clamp
2" filter thread
The Powermate 2" can be removed and an (optional) T-ring attached for photography
