The 2" Crayford focuser provides backlash-free focusing with all telescopes 8" and up that have a 2" SC thread, such as Celestron SC
♦ Suitable for Celestron SC, EHD,.. telescopes with at least 8" aperture
♦ Thread on the telescope side: 2" SC thread with 360° rotation possibility
♦ Eyepiece side connection: 2" and 1.25" barrel with compression ring
♦ The adjustment range is 25mm
♦ A micro reduction of 1:10 allows a very precise focus
TS 2" Crayford focuser with micro reduction for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes
Setting the sharpness in Schmidt-Cassegrains is often a problem. The image wobbles when the main mirror is tilted. Also, the sharpness is adjusted from time to time, often making optimal photos or successful observations a gamble.
Our SC extract solves this problem. It is absolutely shift-free thanks to the Crayford friction principle and impresses with its excellent finish. The focus resistance is adjustable so that accessories weighing up to 2 kg can be properly focused.
360° rotation:
Position the camera or eyepiece in the correct orientation without loosening the clamps. With an off-axis guide, simply locate the guide star without loosening the camera. This allows a 360° rotation. Simply loosen the thumb screw on the front of the focuser and you can easily rotate the entire focuser.
The clamp:
The 2" fittings are attached with a brass ring. Of course, the price includes a high quality 1.25" reduction with thread for 2" filters.
The adjustment range:
The adjustment range is about 25mm, that's more than enough. One roughly adjusts the focus with the main mirror, all other fine adjustments can be made with the focuser.
Danger:
The focuser only works on telescopes with an aperture of at least 8" otherwise the focus knob is too close to the thread to allow assembly.
