The TSL80D is also a powerful viewfinder. The 80mm aperture already displays hundreds of deep sky objects, you can clearly see the difference between a globular cluster and a star in the eyepiece. The telescope is a powerful large field refractor. The TSL80D can also be used as a "video viewer", for example in remote observatories.

The 1.25"/T2 Helical Focuser:

The 1.25" helical focuser allows precise focusing. The camera or eyepiece does not rotate when focusing. Once optimum focus is achieved, simply set the focuser position with the thumb screw. This maintains the optimum focus position .The focuser has a combined focus 1.25" T2 connection on the eyepiece or camera side. You can connect crosshair eyepieces or guide cameras directly.

Using autoguiders with 1.25" housing, such as ASI120MINI or Lodestar:

The focus is between 9mm and 19mm behind the 1.25" connector. So the sensor would be too far in. We simply recommend a good 1.25" adapter that screws into the T2 thread. Matching adapters are linked. Then the camera can be easily attached without any focus problems.

Many cameras, such as the ZWO MINI Guiders, come with a 1.25" extension. You can also focus fine with it. The extension needs to be unscrewed all the way. However, you should not insert the camera all the way.
