The motorized USB filter wheel for 7 x 1.25" filters is especially narrow and is powered via the USB interface without external power, consumes less than 100mA, is powered by an internal mini battery
♦ SCT connector on telescope and T2 on camera side, interchangeable
♦ Room for 7 filters in a 1.25" socket, replaceable insert
♦ only 33mm optical length
♦ Absolute and precise position measurement via Hall sensors
♦ Control via USB by standard astro software
This is a motorized filter wheel with a particularly narrow profile.
It offers space for 7 x 1.25" filters. The motorized adjustment is done through a small servo motor, which requires so little current (<100mA) that the power supply through the USB interface is sufficient because it uses an internal mini battery to power itself. An additional power connection is not necessary.
The positioning of the filters works perfectly thanks to the magnetic sensors and the adjustment is very silent. Due to the absolute encoding, the position is not lost, even when changing quickly.
The wheel can be used in various ways, since both the insert for the filters and the connections are interchangeable.
The wheel is light and slim, with an easy-change thumbscrew system for changing filter discs without tools. The wheel is available in the following configurations:
5 x 2" Mounted Filters, SCT Thread (Inlet), T2 Thread (Outlet)
5 x 2" Mounted Filters, T2 Thread (Inlet), T2 Thread (Outlet)
5 x 50.8mm Unmounted Filters, SCT Thread (Inlet), M72 Thread (Outlet)
5 x 50.8mm Unmounted Filters, SCT Thread (Inlet), T2 Thread (Outlet)
7 Mounted 1.25" Filters, T2 Thread (Inlet), T2 Thread (Outlet)
7 Mounted 1.25" Filters, SCT Thread (Inlet), T2 Thread (Outlet)
7 x 36mm Unmounted Filters, SCT Thread (Inlet), T2 Thread (Outlet)
7 x 36mm Unmounted Filters, T2 Thread (Inlet), T2 Thread (Outlet)
The input threads are female and face the telescope. The output threads are male and face the camera.
Additionally, a variety of threaded adapters are available: T2, SCT, M48, M54, M56, and M72. The adapters can be interchanged by using a small screwdriver to loosen the three stainless steel screws and lifting the adapter flange. Each tab can be rotated to any angle before locking, so you can orient the wheel and camera in the optimal position.
