TS-Optics widefield binocular accessory for astronomical telescopes
The TS widefield binocular viewfinder is an interesting alternative for lunar, planetary and deep sky observation. This bino focus offers a field of view that is 25% larger than smaller focuses with 22mm prisms. This allows you to use all high-quality 1.25" eyepieces without edge vignetting, such as TS WA eyepieces or Baader Hyperion eyepieces. You can not only see the moon and planets, but also nebulae, galaxies or star clusters with both eyes.
Many TS-Optics refractors offer a long working distance (back focus). Due to the short design of the TS widefield binocular accessory, you can dispense with optical path compensation and thus gain even more field.
With the binocular accessory, we placed great importance on the precise holding of the 1.25" eyepieces. A slight tilt of the eyepieces quickly leads to unsightly double images. This binocular accessory completely encloses the 1.25" socket and centers it when automatically clamped on the optical axis. In this way, eyepieces with a locking groove can also be held precisely without tilting or snagging.
TS Handy Tip:
The male T2 threads on many adapters are too short. They can be screwed into the union nut without touching the actual binocular attachment. As a result, the union nut continues to rotate and tilts sideways.
The problem can be solved with the T2ABA25 spacer, which lengthens the bearing surface of the binocular accessory in the direction of the adapter so that it sits.
