Optolong LRGB + H-alpha 7nm Filter Set, 31mm Plug

This CCD filter set contains L-RGB and H-alpha (7nm), it is suitable for tricolor imaging of planets and deep sky objects.

♦ Set of filters for RGB

♦ L filter for focus and luminance registration, UV/IR blocking

♦ a narrow band line filter (7nm) for the most important nebula line

♦ preferred for CDD cameras with full frame transfer technology

♦ All 2mm thick and therefore homofocal

♦ Interference filter

Frameless glass panel with a diameter of 31 mm

♦ optically polished

♦ Multi-layer hard coating - non-reflective and largely scratch resistant

Description

The set of filters for three color deep sky images

This filter set contains the complete LRGB set and the line filter for Ha 7nm. It is suitable for planetary photography as well as capturing deep sky objects.

LRGB filter set

These filters split light into red, green, and blue components, plus a luminance signal across all color ranges. However, UV and IR rays are blocked.

The OIII emission is passed through the blue and green filters with maximum transmittance, allowing highly efficient photography with natural color reproduction. The space between the green and red filters blocks the annoying sodium line of light pollution at 589nm and improves color balance and color separation.

Main use and properties

♦ Good for recordings with cameras without Bayer mask (monochrome)

♦ Suitable for both deep sky and planetary imaging

♦ RGB recording allows equal weighting of each channel, very important for automated image acquisition.

♦ The ideal raw material for image processing in the sRGB color space is available by combining LRGB filters with a black and white CCD camera.

H-alpha filter 7nm

The 7nm H-alpha filter is the most popular line filter with a bandwidth of only 7nm and a center wavelength of 656nm. Transmission at the other wavelengths is extremely reduced, particularly those using artificial light sources such as mercury vapor and both types of sodium vapor lamps radiate, but also unwanted natural light emitted by neutral oxygen in the atmosphere. (skyglow).

The best H-alpha line filter for astrophotography with the highest contrast and reproduction of the most delicate details of the nebula.

Main use and properties

♦ Suitable for photographing weak emission nebulae in moonlight or when there is a lot of light pollution

♦ The ability to capture moonlight and light pollution with the line filter means your equipment won't sit idle for weeks out of the month.

♦ The H-alpha filter is the most important addition to the LRGB suite for most photographers who want to mix a black and white Ha image with RGB data to bring out texture details while maintaining a natural look.
