The Travel Scope ™ 70 DX is the ideal telescope for observing, day or night, the universe and nature. This refracting telescope includes a height adjustable tripod and many additional accessories, it includes a smartphone adapter so you can capture images and videos through the eyepiece. Everything is packed into a high-quality custom backpack, to transport the Travelscope 70 DS wherever your adventures take you.

Whether you're taking it with you on your next camping trip or enjoying an impromptu stargazing session in the backyard, setting up the telescope is a breeze. Even on your first visit, you can assemble the telescope and its accessories in just a few minutes. The adjustable tripod legs allow you to customize the telescope's height or place it on elevated surfaces.

At night, the Travel Scope ™ 70 DX offers excellent views of the planets, the Moon, star clusters and brighter deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy. Smartphone adapter and Bluetooth shutter

Create your own stunning images and videos of celestial or terrestrial objects with the smartphone adapter. With its rigid and lightweight structure, this accessory allows you to connect any smartphone to the eyepiece of your Travel Scope. The additional magnification provided by the eyepiece allows your phone to capture excellent images of the Moon and planets. This smartphone adapter is easily installed by holding it over the top of an eyepiece. The smartphone is held in position with the help of adjustment buttons that securely lock your phone in the correct position. To capture the best image, Celestron has also provided a Bluetooth trigger that allows you to trigger the camera shutter on any Android or iOS smartphone remotely, without disturbing the location of your phone and telescope.

Manual Alt-Azimuth Telescope

Navigate the sky with confidence with the Travel Scope ™ 70 DX's intuitive panoramic handle. Alt-Az control with clutch allows for smooth tracking and precise aiming. Like a photography tripod you can move the clutch up / down, left / right to follow your subject in the eyepiece.

Deluxe accessories included

In addition to the smartphone adapter and Bluetooth trigger, the Travel Scope ™ 70 DX includes a full selection of optical accessories, including two eyepieces (20mm and 10mm), a vertical image diagonal, a finder, a 2x Barlow lens and a 1.25 ”lens Moon filter. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications so you can see your subject at low or high magnification. The vertical image diagonal allows for more comfortable viewing and images without top-to-bottom inversion. The permanently mounted finder will help you quickly locate and center objects in the eyepiece of your telescope. Lastly, the Moon filter reduces glare and increases contrast on the Moon's surface.
